What I Learnt From `Atinu ́da 2

Image
Hey guys ! So it's the end of the second quarter for 2017 and I have to say this was one of the best Quarter I've experienced in my business. It opened my eyes to new things and old things that I've always had but was just blind to see. The highlight of the quarter for me was my ATINUDA'2 experience, wow where can I start? The people, the ambience, the speakers and omg the food! but I'm definitely not here to talk about the culinary skills of SisiPepper or the Creative mixes from Mandies or Eventi, that's topic for another day . I learnt some business lessons that day and I want to share it with you so if you are in business let's go. DON'T BE AFRAID Too many of us are afraid to show what we can do for Fear of rejection or even acceptance. if only we can let ourselves go and allow our creativity flow from within without inhibitions we can create a revolution in our business. I learnt that if I can dream things I can work it to realit

HOW TO OVERCOME UNEXPECTED WEDDING DISASTERS Hey guys! I missed talking to you. Got engrossed with our numerous brides and of course our training sessions. I'm back now with lots to share so stay glued! So in our training session last week one of the students came up and asked me "excuse me ma, what do you do when you planned for 1000 guest but 3000 shows up?" Because I'm such a story teller my answer took the whole class session. Lol It was interesting but before I tell you my answer let me share 3 things that I learned in my experience of disasters while planning events BE READY I want to be truthful and say this , as a planner it's common to experience unforeseen circumstances during your event be it major or minor. It's best to be READY! Have a plan B for everything. Also it pays to delegate because even as a  "super planner" one can not be everywhere at the same time. You dig? BE POSITIVE Your mind set is the most powerful tool y

How to- "Book the best wedding vendors for your event " Hey guys! So I heard a lot of ladies in the past holiday went from boos, baes , and babes to "bride to be". Yaaay that's so exciting isn't it? I'm sure it was all so romantic. We know the job of picking and dealing with wedding vendors can dampen the spirit and turn a perfectly sweet princess into a "bridezilla" hence my (TheEventGirl's) triumphant entry *insert superhero music* lol. Here are tips on how to book the best wedding vendors for your event.... Before we go on I must say that the best vendors doesn't necessarily mean the most expensive; however, it is getting the right professionals suitable to your event theme, ideas and of course budget. * Hire a Wedding Planner - this can never be overstated , A Wedding planner is there to save you time , money , and 99.9%  stress of planning a wedding and this task includes booking the best vendors suitable for your event

I know some would disagree with me or maybe just question my excitement but I was just going through the year in reverse and I am in awe of the many things that have happened. I'm sure after I count mine you will have a lot to be thankful for too 1. Thankful for Life - I know I know, it sounds cliché but do you want me to name all the beautiful souls we lost in the year 2016? Imagine all they couldn't achieve. 2. Thankful for family- counting from the top, all still complete with their plus ones and twos, these people are the best support system one can ever have; always pushing you to be better with their support and criticism.
